Life As I Know It...

Well, quite a bit has happened since the last time I posted. Life got crazier to say the least. Mike and I broke up about a month ago. Things just weren't working out and this was the best decision. We are still friends and still hang out. So it's all good. I was able to find my own apartment here in Anthem so I didn't have to make Desi change schools. That way she will still get to see all her friends and I'll get to see my friends I have up here. I really like Anthem so I'm really glad I got this condo up here. It is a 2 bedroom 2 full bathroom condo. It's got so much space and I love it. Honestly, in a way it's good to be out on my own again. I'm still getting used to it, but it's been a good change. Here is a pic of my place. I'll post pics of the inside once I get it all fixed up. I've only officially been moved in for a week so I haven't gotten all my unpacking done yet.
Desi has been gone the last 2 months with her dad up in Colorado and a little bit with her grandparents in Utah. She's been having a blast but I know she is missing home. She actually comes home this Friday and I am super excited to see her! I can't believe she is going to be 6 in less than 3 weeks. She actually starts school the day before her birthday. So looks like I'm going to be doing a little party planning soon maybe. I'm excited for her birthday at the same time cause I get to take pictures of her like I do every year before her birthday. She even expects me to do it... It's funny how much she loves having her picture taken. Here's a pic from when we facetime. Don't mind the horrible bangs....
Let's see what else... I've been catching up with old friends. It's been fun. Although, most of them are back in PA so it honestly makes me kinda homesick and makes me want to go back and visit so I can hang out with them all. It's funny how with certain friends you can kinda pick up where you left off the last time you saw them. But I'm glad for that. Oh! My friend Desi, the one I call hooker, finally graduated from college. I'm so proud of her. She is such an inspiration and did amazingly for being a mom to 3 daughters and working and providing for them. I had fun helping her get ready for her graduation. Of course she borrowed my clothes and shoes...and make up. Well that's the main things going on with me... :-)

ZUMBA!!!!!!

So last week I went to our community center here in town and started doing Zumba. Honestly, can I just say how much I LOVE it!!!! Yea, I am very white and don't have a whole lot of rhythm...or know how to shake my hips very well... But I can honestly say Zumba has started helping me with it. For those of you who don't know what Zumba is, it's a dance fitness class that uses all different sorts of dances (meringue, samba, hip-hop, reggaeton, etc). It's awesome cause by doing this I'm working my hips, thighs, abs, everything and I don't even realize just how much of a work out they are getting. I admit I tend to be a little sore the next day(usually my legs), but I keep pusing. I only did it 2 times last week, then this week I started doing zumba toning as well as normal zumba 2 times each this week. Zumba toning is normal dancing zumba but there are these little weights that you use while doing the dancing... At first you think, oh these weights are light. I can handle this... as the class goes on those 'light' weights feel so heavy! But honestly, I have never been so excited to go workout. And the best part is I'm burning TONS of calories! Another benefit of zumba is it's helping with my depression. I've felt so much happier since I started doing this! I'm definitely going to keep this up as long as I possibly can.

Dyson Ball

For about the last 4 years I have wanted a Dyson Vacuum. Unfortunately, I have never been able to afford one since they obviously aren't a cheap item. My boyfriend, Mike, knew I have been wanting one. So... as my Valentine's Day present he bought me one. :-) I LOVE it! He got me the Dyson Ball Animal. I have never been so excited to vacuum in my life. Maybe it's a sign of old age or something to get this excited over a vacuum. If so, oh well! I don't mind being old. Seriously, I recommend everyone get a Dyson vacuum. It sucks dirt and dust up so well. And the best part is I will never have to worry about buying belts to replace. It's full of power and it doesn't seem to tear up the carpet like our previous vacuum. Annnnnnd another awesome factor is it's small and light. Very easy to maneuver! Which means Desi can start vacuuming her own room now. YAY!

Fun Change

So, I stayed blonde for a year and a half. Mainly cause my boyfriend Mike loved my hair blonde. Finally he decided he would be okay with me changing my hair color. He had only seen pictures of it dark but never actually seen it dark in person. So, I decided I was going to go from Blonde to dark. But I couldn't decide the exact color.

Sooooo.. after careful consideration and viewing lots of pictures of myself when I previously had the darker colors of hair, I decided that I wanted to do a redish brown. I went to my normal salon, Beauty Brands, in Paradise Valley, and had an amazing stylist TD. He knew exactly what I wanted and did an amazing job! I love my new color hair!

I know the red won't last long, especially in my hair, but I still love the color without the red. My natural Blonde hair, always seems to want to stay blonde, so no matter how much I dye my hair dark, it will always fade and grow in blonde. So for now I will enjoy my new fun color!!

Christmas

I decided to be nice to Austin and let him have Desi again for Christmas this year, even though it is supposed to be my Christmas with her. So this year it's just me and Mike again. But that's ok. It's just going to be a relaxing day of doing nothing. We had a good time last night having dinner and visiting with our close friends Juliann and Mercedes and Juliann's daughter and grandson, Penny and Andres. Here's to another relaxing Christmas with my Hunnie :-) Merry Christmas to all my friends and family!

Holidays...

So, in short, I'm a total scrooge. I admit I hate holidays...mostly Christmas. They are so commercialized, overrated, and don't have their true meaning anymore. I guess it's a good thing that Desi gets to go to her Dad's for Christmas... that way she doesn't have to deal with Scrooge Mc-Duck Mc-New... Anywho... Here are a couple pictures of just how much we get into Christmas around here....
(yes...yes... this is our Christmas tree that I worked so hard on putting up and decorating today...)
(I admit I do love Christmas lights... but, this is about all I can stand since I know that I'll be the lucky one taking them down.)
(It's a good thing Santa doesn't have boobs or wear pink.. Neither would be a good look for him)

The Devil and the Dinosaur

For Halloween Mike, Isaac, Desi and I went trick or treating with one of our neighbors, who happens to have a couple kids that are Desi's friends from school. We had a great time and glad we got to go with them.
